29 A news reporter asked, "Who is my neighbor?"
30 In reply Jesus said:
"A family was leaving Syria where they had been attacked and robbed by Daesh (followers of Satan who live to sow discord). They stripped them of their clothes, beat them, crushed them underfoot and forced them to flee the land, leaving them half dead. 31 A presidential candidate happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the family waiting for refuge in his country, he ran to give a speech saying if he were president he would ban this family from coming to his country for refuge. 32 So too, a congressman, when he came to the place and saw them, quickly formulated a bill to make it the law of the land to force the family to stay on the other side. 33 But a black President, as he traveled, came where the family was; and when he saw them, he took pity on them. 34 He went to them and bandaged their wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the family on his own donkey, brought them to an inn in his country and took care of them. 35 The next day he took out a Visa card and gave the account to the innkeeper. 'Look after the family,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.'"
36 "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the family who fell into the hands of the robbers called Daesh?"
37 The news reporter replied, "The one who had mercy on them." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."
The news reporter replied, "But what if the family who was beaten and robbed by Daesh are terrorists trying to enter our country? or if they are welfare queens trying to steal the last cookie from the white workers after the first 11 have already been stolen by the oligarchs?"
And Jesus said, "It is written, 'This country will be called a country of hospitality and prayer,' but you are making it 'a den of cowards, avaricious robbers and fools.'"
