Friday Revelation
"... [the reason for] the change in global conditions was the Islamic Revolution of the Great Iranian people." —from November 14, 2008 Friday sermon by Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami
MEMRI : Special Dispatch Series - No. 2117
Well, Thank God for this recitation!
Now I can clearly see Iran to be at the center of the world and be amazed how such a small bump on the rump can affect all having established a fascist mediæval theocracy‽
So why does this all powerful Islamic Revolution shake in her chador with fear at a t-shirt?

Choice
If you hate someone enough, you will kill yourself.
If you love someone enough, you will save yourself.

Caesar's Image
Ἀπόδοτε οὖν τὰ Καίσαρος Καίσαρι καὶ τὰ τοῦ Θεοῦ τῷ Θεῷ
Caesar created the stamped image, which is his.
God created the gold, which is His.
Give Caesar the image,
give God the gold.
Cede Caesar the surface,
give God the gold.
Concede Caesar the conceit,
give God the gold.

Jesus' Friends
Disreputable, tax collectors, lepers, prostitutes,
beggars, convicts, thieves,
orphans & widows, discontented, poor.
These were his friends.
Cast-off, fishermen, vagabond,
unemployed, terrorist (ζηλωτής), lost,
traitor, confused, impecunious.
These where his companions.
Respectable, governors, politicians, church leaders,
magnates, bourgeois, merchants,
movers & shakers, contented, rich.
These were his enemies.
Who are you?

麼暗 Mo.an: Motorcycle Koan :: Live Hog
Live Hog
One day, an old BMWMO had a vision of his next bike. He immediately called in his favorite riding companion and begged a favor of him.
"Anything for you." the companion replied.
"On my next ride, I will come back on a hog. Soon after my CS dies, our dealer will get a trade-in and I will want the first hog he receives. You will recognize me by a kerchef on my brow. When that happens, please take a sharp knife and end my life quickly."
Within the year, the CS passed away and the dealer got a trade-in. The companion sharpened his knife and found the kerchef'd biker. Suddenly the biker screamed "Stop! Don't kill me!"
The companion dropped his knife in surprise and stared at the biker. "When I was like you I didn't know what a hog would be like. It's great. Just let me go."

Experience in the streets of Portland
As I walked out in the streets of Portland
As I walked out in Portland one night
I remembered a drummer all wrapped in bright paisley
Wrapped up in bright paisley, koolest drummer in sight
I see by your outfit that you're experienced
These words he did say bold as love I strolled by
Come strum beside me and hear my sad story
I once kissed the sky and must now fade away
Oh beat the drum slowly and strum guitar lowly
Play grateful dead march as you carry Mitch along
Take him to Maui out by Haleakala
for he's Jimi's drummer, we miss him, so long

Armistice :: 90
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
Keep faith with those who there did die
broke hollow victory we don't owe
let fallow course in fold Mars lie
no venal vengeance at verse, I
PrAY bow down quarrels cross the foe!
Take free torch, wit enhance
Give peace a chance!

Scott McPherson :: Bit 'r Sixteen
I'd heard
just the other day
he'd left town.
In the house I walked by each day
He'd many brothers and sisters
His brother a motorcyclist
His father a race car driver
Died tragically
The koolest kid in school
lived
up the street from me
Witty and smart
Funny and good
Theatrical
A joy to be around
I wish he were here
Instead of there.

Light Acquaintance
I have been one acquainted with the light.
I have walked out in rain - and back in light.
I have outwalked the furthest city night.
I have looked down the saddest country lane.
I have passed the policeman on his beat
will grace attain - lift eye to bright.
I ran & filled the road with the sound of feet
When near by a wailing cry
Came waifting across the street,
Left small comfort crying one gave I
Walked child home before falling night
One last knock the missing clock on high
Proclaiming all ways now the time is right.

Barracked When
I though I heard a trumpet call
a clarion sound of joy
Like on the day the mist will fall
returning man from croix
See dewy sparkle golden light
raise from behind the hill
When morning birds shouting song might
awake me with a thrill
A sweet taste savoury victory
the expectation might
the pale in contradictory
the change from wrong to right
Winging out, I'll be touched by gay
to see the scoundrels leave
Ƿ, Shining One, fought God one day
Milton described the heave
Dove's olive branch it smells of peace
O to the sky take flight
Back virtue now, hope no more cease
Make just his turn to might!
a clarion sound of joy
Like on the day the mist will fall
returning man from croix
See dewy sparkle golden light
raise from behind the hill
When morning birds shouting song might

Gold Will Not Away
Nature's softest metal gold
Slackens not her tightning hold
Winds around her grip to power
Tighter tighter hour hour
Need is not a single leaf
So John Milton was a thief
Pair a dice will not away
Now that merry is not gay
Slackens not her tightning hold
Winds around her grip to power
Tighter tighter hour hour
Need is not a single leaf
So John Milton was a thief
Pair a dice will not away
Now that merry is not gay

An Answer
I said to voice from salmon stream
& spoke with heartfelt glee
pain of birth & life & death seem
worth it all to be!

from Douglas bridge (My Father was here)
I look above Mt. Juneau's height
a salmon stream, Ursa at night
the bear he laid against the sand
these river stones were in his hand
at flounder creek by little lake
grizzle cold hardtack, who would make
my children's faces all so dear
I know my father, He was here.
